AME Social Ventures supports the creation of businesses that bring about positive social change in a sustainable manner. We are interested in investing in projects whose business objectives can meet key environmental and social issues and with a concrete and quantifiable social return on investment.
AME Social Ventures was launched in 2010 to engage in socially responsibility initiatives.
We consider the ventures that we have decided to support not only as simple investments that can generate a return, but also a way to encourage business oriented solutions that may contribute to improve life conditions amongst the socially neglected and in the most deprived areas of the world.

Greenwaves International
Greenwaves International Limited is a performance-oriented environmental, educational, as well as development-focused private company, pioneering a sustainable large-scale reforestation project in Ghana. The venture aims at an initial mixed tropical forest reforestation output of 5,000 hectares on abandoned and unused local land at Nkonya in the high tropical forest zone of the Volta Region of Ghana. It involves the professional planting and maintenance of proven indigenous fast-growing tropical forest trees that have high carbon sequestration properties. The size of the tropical reforestation program will provide a significant contribution to the reduction of carbon emissions acting as effective forestry carbon sink and will earn international carbon credits at a profit.
The vision of Greenwaves International is to mature steadfastly into a sustainable, financially sound and socially-oriented developmental business concern, as well as a first-rate green services promotion and provision company. The objective is to empower and employ rural forest dwellers, women and youth to work towards natural resource conservation and sustainable forest management.

St. Mark Community Health Care Services
St. Mark is a Uganda based health service provider with an aim of developing a unique mobile clinic network to deliver improved health services to inaccessible areas in the Country. Relying on a team of young entrepreneurs, St. Mark enters the Ugandan helthcare sector to fill and grow out of an underserved segment as the leading medical provider of choice. The services will be offered to the underserved peri-urban residents around Uganda’s capital Kampala, in the Wakiso district, and in other sub-urban areas of the country to fulfill the needs of the poorest segment of the population.
St. Mark is set to become the most innovative health care services provider in Uganda thanks to a unique development and promotional mechanism as well as the use of the most advanced IT systems.
St. Mark Community Health Care Service earned an outstanding recognition during the Global Social Venture Competition in 2010.
DentalPro – Cliniche Dentistiche Professionali
DentalPro is an Italian network of dental health care clinics, offering a full range of state-of-the-art dental treatments at competitive prices through consumer financig. The company was established in 2010 by a group of experienced healthcare professionals with the mission to make top quality dental services accessible and affordable to people who could not otherwise afford it. DentalPro has opened its first clinic in Milan in June 2010. New openings are expected in Italy by the end of 2011. DentalPro also offers entrepreneurs the chance to start their own business with a franchise opportunity.
